It is a powerful exploration of our cultural tapestry, illuminating experiences, struggles, and triumphs. Being Turi offers an unprecedented opportunity to shed light on the often overlooked challenges faced by the Turi-Deaf Māori community. With limited access to their own cultural heritage due to communication barriers, this community has strived to bridge the gap between their unique identity and their rightful place within Te Ao Māori.
